Success in our careers are directly related to our networking and professional relationship building skills. Here are a few conferences, groups of like-minded individuals and associations that fit my career goals:

EVENTS:

CPSI – Creative Problem Solving Institute

CPSI is the longest running conference on creativity and innovation. I actually attended the 2013 conference and promised myself I would go every year. It was a great way kick off my journey at Full Sail.

Creative Mornings – Orlando

Creative mornings is a breakfast lecture series for the creative community. They have chapters in most cities in the US (including Orlando – link above). I think it would be a great way to stay inspired, connected, and build relationships with like-minded individuals.

99U Conference

“Genius is 1% inspiration, and 99% perspiration.” —Thomas Edison

This is one event that I know when I go, it will change my life. The goal of the 99U Conference is to shift the focus from idea generation to idea execution. Providing road-tested insights on how to make ideas happen. It’s a place where we can find some of the world’s most productive creative visionaries & leading researchers.

ORGANIZATIONS

Local: Ad2Orlando – A non-profit comprised of young advertising, marketing, interactive and PR professionals in and around

National: AIGA – I have been following this organization for quite some time and receive their mailing. AIGA is the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design. They define global standards and ethical practices, guide design education, inspire designers and the public, enhance professional development, and make powerful tools and resources accessible to all.
